The University of Groningen is looking for an additional ENLIGHT partner that would like to join University of Groningen and University of Tartu to apply for a Thematic Network grant 2025 in the focus area Culture an Creativity.

We welcome collaboration from ENLIGHT partners with expertise in:
- polarisation, societal divides
- critical and transformative theatre pedagogies
- performance based methods
- interdisciplinary and performative approaches to teaching and learning
Description: The purpose of this ENLIGHT Thematic Network is to establish a growing network of academic partners that will develop performative arts-based participatory methods for engagement and dialogue in the classroom and beyond. The network will address the topic of polarisation in society by experimenting with different forms of performative methods countering societal divides and polarised positions and discussions on diverse topics.
The joint efforts will include:
- establishing the academic foundation for described methods
- training activities for staff and students
- mobility and exchange for knowledge sharing between involved ENLIGHT partners
- outreach and engagement encounters with societal stakeholders for building local networks and knowledge sharing between academics and theatre practitioners/artists
- piloting theatrical events in local contexts of ENLIGHT partners, making use of different theatre engagement forms and techniques
- collaborative transnational and transdisciplinary network building
